Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3-5 years of hands-on Employee Relations experience supporting the North America (US) region, including end-to-end case management
- Strong knowledge of US employment laws, labor regulations, HR policies, and employee relations best practices
- Proven experience managing investigations, disciplinary actions, performance management, PIPs, employee counseling, grievances, and terminations
- Experience administering US employee benefits, including leave management, FMLA, ADA accommodations, and related compliance requirements
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential employee matters with professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion
- Hands-on experience using HRIS platforms, preferably Workday, for employee records, case management, benefits administration, and HR reporting
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, stakeholder management, and employee advocacy skills
- Experience supporting multi-state workforces within the US; exposure to global organizations is advantageous
- Experience with benefits vendor management, renewals, and employee benefits administration is preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
- Demonstrated integrity, ethical decision-making, and ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and hybrid work environments
Responsibilities
- Lead and document ER case investigations related to misconduct, performance issues, grievances, policy breaches, and sensitive workplace matters
- Manage ER cases from initial review through closure, ensuring resolutions are timely, confidential, consistent, and compliant
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations concerns, providing guidance aligned with workplace policies and employment regulations
- Advise managers on performance concerns, corrective actions, conflict resolution, terminations, redundancies, and employee relations best practices
- Support employee engagement, retention initiatives, leave management, workplace accommodations, and flexible work arrangements
- Manage benefits administration tasks, including health, retirement, wellness, leave programs, enrollments, terminations, and HRIS updates
- Liaise with vendors, brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators for benefits inquiries, claims issues, renewals, and employee communications
- Support open enrollment, benefits reviews, cost analysis, compliance tracking, and benefits-related process improvements
- Maintain accurate employee files, case records, HR documentation, audit materials, reports, and risk-related records
- Assist with policy revisions, HR workflow improvements, system enhancements, and compliance activities across North America and other regions
